Stained Glass Repair Before Stained Glass Repair After

Repairs and Restoration

It is sometimes possible to make small repairs to broken glass in situ. However, over a period of time, the lead structure can become bowed, damaged or weakened, or there may be numerous breaks in the glass. In these circumstances we usually recommend that the window is removed, temporary glazing fitted (we can arrange this for you) and a thorough repair or rebuild carried out.

This involves stripping the panel of the old lead, saving and utilising as much of the original glass as we can and remaking the panel with new lead. The broken pieces are replaced with reclaimed glass or a closely matched modern alternative.
